New Guides Available

Check out the new “Downloads” page at the top of the menu on the ABHMS Help site. Here you’ll find the first of a number of documents provided to help you navigate the digital side of ABHMS life.

We’ve just shared the Setting Up You PC Guidebook we use when staff receive new or upgraded computers at ABHMS. Many kudos to Mary-Anne for creating these docs for you to use. For now, you’ll also see guides for connecting to Wi-Fi and OneDrive, and also a checklist for Zoom meetings. More guides and checklists will be on the way.

A quick note on new computers

You may recall all the buzz last year around bringing InTune and Autopilot to our IT services at ABHMS. These implementations predate even my hiring at ABHMS but the great news is that we brought them online in December of 2022.

These utilities make it very easy for us to bring new computers online. We’ve prepared digital blueprints for the configuration of our work computers. That blueprint provides the software you use, configurations for our network and systems, and integrations for security & support. When we purchase computers from our vendors, we sync their serial numbers with our internal systems so that all you have to do is log in, and over the course of an hour the computer uses the blueprint to automagically configure itself - and that’s it. No more need to have IT personnel personally configure every last detail. What this means is that new computers can be secure, configured, and ready to use much quicker than in times past.
